Mounties say they are on the scene of what they are describing as a “hazardous situation” in Surrey.
Police say a scissor lift has come into contact with some wires in the area of Anvil Way and 128th Street. This happens to be near the route of the Vaisakhi parade, which is scheduled to continue until 5 p.m.
Surrey Fire and BC Hydro are also at the scene.
The RCMP is asking people to avoid the area to allow first responders and crews to work.
No injuries have been reported.
