This stunning hike near Vancouver will bring you to the most spectacular lookout

This hike just outside of Vancouver has one of the best lookouts in the area, giving you an uninterrupted view of the glistening ocean with islands dotting it.

There are a lot of hikes in B.C. to choose from, but Tunnel Bluffs is just 30 minutes away from the city and although a fairly steep trek, it has an unforgettable view that makes each drop of sweat worth it.

Driving out to Lions Bay you’ll find the trailhead for this trek, and you’ll follow the trail upwards to the lookout spot. The trail takes you into the forest, and you’ll pass by creeks, lush trees, and lots of wildlife along the way.

There’s a big area with lots of space to sit out at the top, so you can rest and enjoy the view.

Nothing can beat this view on a clear day when the sun is shining down and making the ocean sparkle. You can see a winding stretch of the Sea To Sky highway, and get a view of Bowen Island and the Sunshine Coast, all from the viewpoint of this hike.

If you pack some snacks it’s the perfect spot to have a picnic, especially because you’ll likely need a break after the upwards climb of the hike.

Once you take in the scenic view you can head back down the trail the way you came up, since it’s out-and-back. The way down is a lot easier, and in total the hike takes around four hours.

If you need a little getaway from the city this is the perfect spot to get a dose of nature.
