The beauty of fall is relatively short-lived, and before we know it winter will be in full swing. You have to get out into the crisp autumn air and soak in the colourful landscape while you can, and this small town near Vancouver makes for the perfect fall day.
Nothing says fall like moseying around little shops and picturesque streets or exploring the adorable farm and pumpkin patch. The charming town of Fort Langley is just 45 minutes from Vancouver, and it’s packed with heritage buildings and sites that will make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time (or onto the set of Gilmore Girls).
Luke’s might now be there, but you can definitely get your coffee fix in town.
Here’s the start of your day: Grab a warm cp of coffee and browse the local bookstore before strolling around the tree-lined streets.
You’ll wander into the flower shop and grab an autumnal boutique to take home, and then you stop by Village Antiques Mall to look for some goodies.

Next, you’ll head to the nearby Loft Country Farm, which is in Langley and about an 18-minute drive from the historic village of Fort Langley.
It’s worth the little detour though. The farm continues the storybook-like theme that Fort Langley has going on, with a sprawling pumpkin patch, farm animals, and even horse-drawn carriage rides. They also have Western-themed buildings that just add to the charm of an afternoon spent here.
It’s the perfect way to round out a wholesome fall day away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Tickets for the pumpkin patch are $19 for general admission on the weekends, and it’s open until the end of October — so go and explore while fall is still in full swing!
