This BC beach was just named the best in Canada and it looks like a slice of paradise

B.C. has plenty of breathtaking beaches scattered around the province and one of them was just named the best in Canada.

This B.C. beach has stunning sandy shores, turquoise water and a rainforest next to it. The best part is you don’t have to travel abroad to enjoy this slice of paradise.

The 50 Best Beaches in North America for 2024 list was just released and the only spot in the country to make it is located on Vancouver Island in B.C.

San Josef Bay is a beautiful beach in Cape Scott Provincial Park.

It’s not the quickest to get to and involves a 45-minute hike, but you’re rewarded with sandy shores and an incredible landscape.

Since it’s a bit more remote, San Josef Bay is not flooded with people so it’s a great spot if you want a quieter beach day.

The 50 Best Beaches list collected votes from over “1,000 travel professionals, including our judges, Beach Ambassadors and our own World’s 50 Beaches team,” the website reads.

San Josef Bay took the 26th spot on the list, which included beaches in Hawaii, Turks & Caicos and the US Virgin Islands.

This B.C. beach is located on the northwestern tip of Vancouver Island and makes for a fun road trip from Victoria.

While you’re there you’ll be surrounded by the ocean, trees and mountains.

You can also explore Cape Scott Provincial Park which offers a hike through a rainforest.

So if you’re planning your next beach vacation, this B.C. spot is worth adding to your travel list!
