If you’ve been searching for B.C. jobs and haven’t had any luck, how about the ultimate summer job at a popular annual event?
The PNE in Vancouver is hiring for over 1,000 summer positions for the PNE Fair and the jobs come with a variety of perks.
The Vancouver summer jobs are a great way to earn some cash over a few weeks.
According to the PNE website, they are looking to fill positions in all departments, including agriculture, food and beverage, games, rides, and guest experience.
Applicants must be 19 or older for certain positions while other roles have a younger age requirement.
The base wages for the positions start at $17.40 per hour with 5% additional pay in lieu of vacation and other benefits, resulting in a total of $18.27 per hour.
Employees will be given certain perks like free access to the fair, discounts on passes to the PNE Fair, as well as the food stands.
The 2024 PNE Fair will run from August 17 to September 2, 2024.
The website notes that applicants must be available to work up to 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and late nights for the entirety of the fair.
Applications can be submitted on the PNE website and will be accepted until the roles are filled. However, preference will be given to those individuals who submit their resumes before June 9, 2024.
Anyone who moves on to the next round will receive an interview invitation via email in late June. Virtual group interviews will be held between July 3-6.
