The Last of Us Season 2 is filming in B.C. and one of the show’s main characters was spotted filming a scene in downtown Vancouver.
Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie in the HBO show, was caught on video filming a scene on horseback and they weren’t alone.
In the video shared on X, Ramsey is joined by their Season 2 co-star Isabela Merced who will play Dina, Ellie’s new romantic interest.
Merced and Ramsey were also joined by Shimmer, which is the name of the horse that appears in the video game The Last of Us Part II.
Other videos on X also show another set in downtown Vancouver of a building that’s been transformed into Weston’s Pharmacy.
This isn’t the first time fans have captured the show filming in Vancouver, but it is the first time seeing the main cast in action.
Last week photos and videos were shared of actors dressed as soldiers and military vehicles driving along a downtown street in Vancouver.
This week the cast and crew have moved to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. They’ll be filming in downtown Nanaimo, including Diana Krall Plaza over the next few days.
Photos have begun popping up online from the set, one of which shows an overgrown tank on the street.
Nanaimo is supposed to stand in as the Seattle neighbourhood Capitol Hill from the game.
The Last of Us Season 2 has been filming around B.C. since early this year. Other areas where sets were spotted include Mission, Fort Langley, Kamloops and North Vancouver.
Aside from Merced, fans of the show will be introduced to other new characters in the second season, including Jesse (played by Young Mazino), whom Joel (played by Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (played by Ramsey) meet in Jackson, Wyoming.
Season 2 will continue filming in the province until mid-August.
The second season is expected to premiere on HBO in 2025.
