A North Vancouver night market opens this week and it’s taking over the waterfront

A popular spring and summer night market is returning to North Vancouver this week.

The Shipyards Night Market will take over the waterfront to celebrate its 10th year starting on Friday.

The annual event at the Shipyards District offers plenty of activities and draws in thousands of visitors every year.

The weekly night market begins on May 10 and will run from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. every Friday until September 13.

“Whether you’re a food lover, a shopaholic, a music enthusiast, or simply seeking a vibrant atmosphere, the night market offers something for everyone. Meet friends, make new connections, and immerse yourself in the welcoming spirit of North Vancouver,” the event’s website reads.

The Shipyards Night Market will once again feature live music and DJs on The Stage at Shipbuilders Square, a pop-up beer garden, dozens of artisan vendors, and a splash park for kids.

The market also has plenty of great food options with various food trucks being there every Friday.

The full food truck schedule is posted online in case you’re curious about what snacks and meals you can expect to get.

The free event also has a stage schedule for all the artists who will be performing.

On May 10 you can expect to see Justine Lynn, Earia Music Project, Randy Swallow Trip and DJ Mike Madness.

So if you’re looking for something fun to do on Friday night, check out the Shipyards Night Market where you can eat some good food, enjoy live music and the stunning views of the north shore mountain.
