19 must-see festivals happening in and around Vancouver that you should go to in 2024

Spring is the kick-off to tons of festivals in and around Vancouver and 2024 has a packed list of events coming to the city.

Whether you like cultural cuisine, craft beer, music or film, there’s no shortage of festivals featuring that and more over the next few months.

Here are 19 festivals happening in and around Vancouver in 2024.

Harrison Tulip Festival

Cost: $12 – $20

Address: 5039 Lougheed Hwy., Agassiz, BC

When: From April 6, open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on weekends

Why You Should Go: You can wander through a field filled with millions of tulips at the Harrison Tulip Festival.

Abbotsford Tulip Festival

Cost: $8 – $25

Address: 3663 Marion Rd., Abbotsford, BC

When: From April 6, 2024, open seven days a week, 8 a.m. until dusk

Why You Should Go: The 2024 Abbotsford Tulip Festival is underway, meaning you can get some great photos with vibrant blooms all around you.

The festival features 35 acres of tulips and field flowers which create a dazzling display of colour.

The Abbotsford Tulip Festival is the kickoff to a six-month flower festival. Once the tulips are gone the event continues with over 30 acres of peonies, lupins, Siberian wallflowers, and lavender. The festival ends with over 40 acres of sunflowers.

BC Distilled Festival

Why You Should Go: Calling all country music lovers! Coast City Country Festival will feature performances by some of the biggest country music stars, including Luke Bryan, Nickelback and Dierks Bentley.

Brewery & the Beast

Cost: $173.75 + GST for the main event ticket

Why You Should Go: Brewery & The Beast brings together a line-up of chefs and beverage makers who put together a feast of fire-kissed eats, craft beers, cocktails, ciders, wine, hard seltzers and non-alcoholic drinks.

Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival

Foodstock 2024

When: June 23, 2024, runs from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Why You Should Go: The Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB) is hosting its annual food bank fundraiser festival called Foodstock.

The event will feature performances from Yukon Blonde, The Matinee and other local bands, breweries, food trucks a marketplace and yard games.

A certain amount of proceeds from all drink, food and marketplace sales will be donated to the GVFB.

Greek Day on Broadway

The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival
