TransLink presents Car Free Day Port Coquitlam on September 7th with a street festival, live entertainment, community booths, food and beverage vendors, and more in the heart of Downtown PoCo.

The festival will feature sustainable and active transportation, an electric vehicle display, an assortment of food and drink options, and entertainment including music, and dance performances. Enjoy family activities like mini golf, ninja obstacle course, and a bicycle skills zone, along with a lineup of entertainment on the Family Stage. There will be community booths from over 20 organizations including the BC Lions, Lilac Rain Crafts, The Zesty Lemon Clothing Co, and more.

The event strives for festival goers to find environmentally friendly ways of transportation to reduce carbon footprints. TransLink encourages sustainable transportation to local destinations via its many campaigns such as the Ride & Shine Campaign.
To get to Car Free Day in Port Coquitlam you can take one of the many bus routes: the 159, 160, 170, 173, 174, and 188 are all a few minutes’ walk away from McAllister Avenue. Bike Valet will also be there, so you can ride and park your bike with ease. Just like a coat check, there will be someone there to secure your bike, and you’ll get a slip for when you’re ready to ride back.
