Nothing feels as quintessentially fall as a visit to a pumpkin patch. Farms around Vancouver are celebrating autumn with U-pick pumpkins, hayrides, corn mazes, and lots of other family-friendly fall activities.
Pumpkin Patch Tips
Book in Advance Or Go at Non-Peak Times: Some pumpkin patches require advance booking. See the listings below for details. To avoid crowds, consider going on weekdays or in the morning.
Dress for the Weather: Fall weather can be cold and wet. Since you’ll be outdoors, layer up and include rain gear. And wear boots since farms can be muddy.
Bring a Wagon or Big Tote Bags: Pumpkins are heavy and hard to carry, especially if you pick a few. Some pumpkin patches have wagons or wheelbarrows you can borrow, but they can be in short supply on busy days so it’s easiest to bring your own. You can also bring large cloth tote bags to carry small and medium-sized pumpkins.
Leave Your Dog At Home: With a few exceptions, most farms do not allow pets.
