Where to get a FREE pancake breakfast in Vancouver this week

Pancakes, flapjacks, or hot cakes. Whatever you call them, they’re a delicious way to start the day. And this week in Vancouver, you can enjoy them for free!

The Calgary Grey Cup Committee is holding a free pancake breakfast from November 14 to 16.

A tradition that dates back to the first-ever Grey Cup Festival in 1948, the pancake breakfast will first be hosted at the Billy Bishop/Kerrisdale Legion on Thursday.

It will then head to Save-On-Foods Street Festival on Canada Place Way between Howe and Thurlow on Friday and Saturday.

Stop by for a free bite between 11 am and 1 pm each day. Fans can expect free pancakes and sausages and live entertainment from house band High Steppin’ Daddy.

There may even be Stampede-style giveaways and white-hat ceremonies, CFL cheer and dance team performances, and special guest appearances during the events.

The free breakfast will only be available while supplies last, so you’ll want to get down early!

While you’re at the festival, you can also check out the free zipline experience, live concerts, and more. Just plan ahead for your commute, as several major road closures are in effect to accommodate all of the activities.
