Everyone is excited about Taylor Swift’s upcoming concerts in Vancouver, even the four-legged fans.
Swift will bring the global phenomenon The Eras Tour to Vancouver from December 6 to 8 at BC Place.
The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is gearing up for a busy weekend with an estimated 160,000 fans flocking to the stadium district for the show.
Some members of the VPD Mounted Unit will be extra colourful during the concert dates as several horses will wear giant friendship bracelets around their neck.

In the friendship bracelet tradition, the Toronto Police Mounted Unit has sent the VPD several horse-sized bracelets used during the music superstar’s takeover of Rogers Centre in November.
Fans will be able to take photos with the VPD horses decked out in Swiftie beads, though they must first request permission from the officer.

The VPD announced today that they will have 700 officers deployed during Taylor Swift’s Vancouver concert dates, with over 250,000 people expected in the stadium district for the shows, Vancouver Canucks games, Cirque du Soleil performances, and a music festival at the Plaza of Nations.
The Public Safety Unit, Mounted Unit, Traffic Section, Bicycle Squad, VPD Traffic Authority, and Community Safety Officers will all be on-site to manage the large influx of people and provide a highly visible police presence.

The City of Vancouver announced that BC Place and its surrounding areas will be strictly limited to ticket holders. Fencing will be erected around the stadium’s perimeter throughout the concert dates, and attendees must pass through multiple checkpoints and a metal detector before entering.
Several road closures will be in effect in, around, and out of downtown Vancouver from noon until midnight on December 6, 7, and 8 for the concerts.
