VooDoo Doughnut to open new location just three hours from Vancouver

It’s no secret that dedicated Vancouver foodies have no problem driving hours to grab their favourite bites. So when we saw that VooDoo Doughnut is opening a new location just three hours away from Vancouver, we had a sneaky feeling that some folks might be excited enough to make the trip.

VooDoo Doughnut is opening its first Seattle location on December 10 at 1201 Pine Street.

For those not in the know, VooDoo first opened its doors in 2003 in Portland and serves up over 40 flavour options, including Bacon Maple Bar, Memphis Mafia, and The Cannolo, all in its iconic pink boxes. Currently, the chain operates over 20 locations across the US but none in Canada.

According to Google Maps, it takes a little under three hours to drive to this new location from Vancouver.

Three hours for donuts might be nuts to some people, but when Shake Shack opened in Seattle’s downtown South Lake Union neighbourhood, many Vancouverites popped over the border to get in on the grub.

Plus, dedicated Vancouverites might want to get there as early as possible because the first 50 guests in line will receive an “exclusive gift.”
