The HR MacMillan Space Centre is searching for guest services supervisors to help ensure visitors have a great time at the attraction. Responsibilities include working at the ticket desk, planetarium theatre and exhibit gallery, as well as training, supervising and participating in the work of a group of team members.
This position pays an hourly wage of $20.92 an hour to start.
This auxiliary position will provide customer service to Space Centre visitors at the ticket desk, Planetarium theatre, rental spaces, and exhibit galleries. This may range from helping to seat patrons in the theatre, assisting with A/V duties during special events, and answering questions in person or on the phone.
The role pays $19.49 an hour to start.
The Space Centre is hiring a full-time Programs Coordinator to help deliver earth and space science education programs to schools and the general public. The successful candidate will also train, schedule and supervise a group of interpretive staff and volunteers, oversee the programming in multimedia theatres, exhibitions and programming spaces, and research and develop school and public content.
This job pays $28.28 per hour to start, plus benefits.
HR MacMillan Space Centre is looking to fill a vital role that will provide highly specialized technical work, including custom fabrication, repair and maintenance, and installation. The candidate will support a variety of exhibitions, audio-visual projection systems, and electronic equipment used at the astronomy centre and the Gordon MacMillan Southam Observatory on an auxiliary basis.
The Technical Coordinator role starts at $31.79 per hour.
The Space Centre is hiring a marketing and communications coordinator to manage, report and direct marketing campaigns with a focus on online channels. The coordinator will design, write, and edit copy for promotional materials like brochures, websites, and social media in the part-time role. They will also help craft the promotional direction for special events and arrange for catering, performers, and facilities.
The successful applicant will be paid $28.28 to start.
