A Vancouver penthouse suite that has been up for sale since 2018 has dropped by nearly $500,000 since then, and still can’t find a buyer.
The location might be one of the detractors for potential homebuyers, as the Vancouver penthouse is located near the Downtown Eastside at 150 East Cordova Street.
It is currently up for sale for $799,888 and was first listed in 2018 at $1,250,000. It’s even selling for under the assessed value. According to BC Assessment, the unit is valued at $841,000.
Since 2018, the penthouse suite has been listed for sale nine times. It’s currently unoccupied, with the listing stating that the “tenant has left.”
It features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 852 sq ft of space. It was built in 2016, and the eXp Realty calls it the “investment of the year.” It also states that it was originally crafted for the developer.
The listing describes it as a north-facing unit with “breathtaking panoramic water and mountain views” that are even visible from the open kitchen.
Located inside a concrete building, the suite is the only unit in the building with both AC and radiant heat. It also has a garage and three storage lockers. The unit is being shown again this weekend.
The pictures show a clean and neat space. The building also has a private rooftop deck featuring a jacuzzi and grass garden. The unit was assessed at its highest value in 2019, when it was valued at $1,056,000.
“Experience the happiest of new years [with] luxury living at its finest,” the listing adds.
“The penthouse is the epitome of comfort and style.”
