Vancouver parking company offering cheap rates for Taylor Swift

This weekend is going to be wild thanks to Taylor Swift coming to town, but Vancouver will be making the trip a little bit easier for folks driving to the concert by offering cheaper parking.

Last week, we told you that some parking rates for this weekend would be astronomical.

In response, Easy Park contacted us to say that it will offer parking for much, much cheaper.

“We saw the post about other parking companies that are charging higher rates for parking during the Eras Tour and we would like to support the community,” an EasyPark spokesperson told Daily Hive.

In honour of Swift, the parking rates at select locations will be an easy-to-remember $19.89.

The cheaper rate will be available at the following lots:

  • Lot 3 – 535 Richards Street
  • Lot 4 – 107 East Cordova Street
  • Lot 7 – 180 Keefer Street
  • Lot 8 – 65 West Cordova Street
  • Lot 9 – CF Pacific Centre
  • Lot 18 – 1067 Seymour Street
  • Lot 22 – 1180 Mainland Street
  • Lot 32 – CF Pacific Centre North
  • Lot 42 – 201 Alvin Narod Mews
  • Lot 55 – 909 Mainland Street
  • Lot 97 – 1290 Hornvy Street
  • Lot 126 – 151 West Cordova Street
  • Lot 179 – 443 Seymour Street

“These rates represent the most affordable event pricing we’ve ever offered.”

The only catch is that these lots are a little bit further out, requiring guests to take a little bit of a stroll, but the savings compared to $150 for event parking near the stadium are more than worth it.

“We anticipate high demand due to the dual events — The Eras Tour and two Canucks games — occurring downtown. Our lots typically reach capacity during such events, especially those near Rogers Arena and BC Place.”

Additionally, as a special promo, the ZipBy app offers a 13% discount at EasyPark’s event lots.

“While these special rates are slightly higher than our standard non-event rates, they reflect the increased traffic in the downtown core and include enhanced janitorial and security services to ensure a safe and seamless parking experience for concertgoers.”

If you were lucky enough to get tickets, what’s your plan for commuting to the concert?
