Forbes praised a Vancouver food tour earlier this week, listing it as one of the top tours to take in 2025.
Vancouver Foodie Tours, also currently in its Taylor Swift era, was ranked #2 on a Forbes list of the best tours to visit from around the globe.
The Granville Island Market Tour is roughly $120 and takes about three hours to complete.
Forbes says the tour offers “insider access” to Vancouver’s favourite market.
“Vancouver Foodie Tours at Granville Island offers a tour and taste of fresh, local, seasonal produce, alongside a slice of local life.”
According to Forbes, Granville Island is Canada’s second-most visited tourist attraction, behind only Niagara Falls. It calls it essential for food-loving locals and tourists alike.
“It offers a range of delicious samples from independent farmers and food artisans from Vancouver and beyond, from duck confit and cheeses to locally-made charcuterie, melt-in-your-mouth donuts, and, of course, BC smoked salmon,” writes Forbes contributor Joanne Shurvell.
Tour group sizes are two to 12 guests. According to the Foodie Tours website, some of the places that are featured on the tour include:
- Benton Brothers Local Cheeses
- Sourdough Breads
- Hobbs Pickles
- Pad Siew
It also, of course, mentions Lee’s Honey Dip Donuts.
Forbes also mentions tours offered by the same group in Gastown and another one focused on Asian food in Richmond, which, “according to the New York Times, has the best Chinese food in all of North America.”
Forbes‘ list ranked Devour Tours, a tour company offering food adventures in New York City’s Lower East Side, number one.
Montreal’s Beyond the Market tour and Toronto’s Bruce Bell Tours were also mentioned as number three and four, respectively.
