Vancouver donut shop moving out of the city just months after opening

Vegas Donuts first brought its drool-worthy donuts to Vancouver when it opened its doors in May 2024. A few months later, the donut shop opened its second location in the city in August 2024.

However, just five months after initially opening, Vegas Donuts has closed its latest location with plans to move to Maple Ridge.

Owner of Vegas Donuts, Mike McBean, confirmed to Dished that the shop will be moving its 1610 Robson Street location to 22361 Lougheed Highway, Maple Ridge, with a grand opening planned for later this January. However, McBean did not provide a reason for the move.

This spot was also previously the location of Simit Bakery and the Khaykery Bakery.

For those unfamiliar, Vegas Donuts is inspired by McBean’s grandparent’s donut store in the 1960s and serves a variety of donuts with toppings like pickles, caramel popcorn, gummy bears, marshmallows, and so much more.

Additionally, Vegas Donuts’ original location at 4003 Knight Street is still open and serving up its classic treats.
