Top restaurant openings in and around Vancouver this summer 2024

Our favourite season is finally here, and with it comes some highly anticipated summer restaurant openings in Vancouver.

If the return of our much-loved patio season hasn’t gotten you jazzed up for the warmer months, we have several exciting openings to look forward to, and they are coming up quickly.

The countdown to epic eats and sips is officially on for these buzz-worthy summer restaurant openings in and around Vancouver.

After four decades, Jacob would be preparing for retirement while Chef Feenie cooked up the next chapter of the iconic Burrard Street restaurant.

Le Crocodile by Rob Feenie will officially open on June 25. At launch, you can find this spot open Tuesday to Saturday from 4 pm for dinner service. Lunch service will come down the line.

Reservations open on June 25, so be sure to mark your calendar.

The brother-sister duo behind a much-loved eatery in Vancouver, Anh and Chi, is working on a new project: Good Thief.

Vincent and Amélie Nguyễn are nearly ready to share the sibling concept, which will be located right next door to their award-winning Vietnamese restaurant at 3336 Main Street.

Good Thief aims to “redefine Vietnamese cuisine in the Pacific Northwest, emphasizing community, connection, and culinary excellence.”

Bow & Stern Brentwood will open at 4567 Lougheed Highway (just outside the Tables
food court, above BMO) this summer.

Burnaby will be Bow & Stern’s third restaurant. Sister locations are in Abbotsford and Chilliwack.

The Brentwood location will boast seats for 160 inside and 60 more on its patio. This spot will offer happy hour, dinner, and weekend brunch service down the road.

The viral automat dumpling franchise taking social media by storm, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop (BDS), is officially coming to downtown Vancouver.

This concept will launch at 488 Robson Street, the former location of Food Republic, a short-lived digital food hall concept.

BDS also plans to open two Burnaby locations in the fall, and the Vancouver one is projected to launch in late summer.

Four Winds Brewing

One of BC’s most celebrated craft breweries has something big in the works.

Four Winds Brewing Co. will open a new shop, restaurant, and destination patio in the Lower Mainland.

We’re told the community can expect to enjoy an 8,600-square-foot facility that features a 2,600-square-foot brewery, a 6,000-square-foot restaurant, and retail space.
