When a restaurant wins a Michelin star, we tend to keep tabs on what it’s up to. So when the team behind St. Lawrence posted on its Instagram announcing a new restaurant concept, we knew we needed to take a look at what’s going on.
Chez Céline is described as “a kitchen of honest cuisine” designed for friends, family, and everyone in between.
Aside from that, not much else is known about the new concept. Its Instagram page says it will open in Fraserhood in Spring 2025.
While the restaurant has yet to confirm an exact location, the chef and owner of St. Lawrence responded to a comment that the spot will open on Fraser and 27th.
If we had to guess, we’d say Chez Céline will be opening in the previous spot of Say Mercy!, which was located at 4298 Fraser Street and closed on November 2.
St. Lawrence is best known for its Quebecois cuisine featuring dishes like tourtière, ratatouille, and oreilles de crisse (fried pork rinds). It also features a chic interior filled with antique found objects and paintings. Most recently, it made La Liste’s top 1000 restaurants in the world.
