Taylor Swift is coming to Vancouver this December and here’s how you can win tickets

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that Taylor Swift is wrapping up her iconic Eras Tour in Vancouver from December 6 to 8, making the downtown area a vibrant destination for tourists and locals alike.

To celebrate — and encourage folks to explore everything Vancouver has to offer — Destination Downtown has installed 13 Taylor Swift lyrics in life-sized letters around the city. Each location will have a digital stamp card that you can collect and use to enter the contest to win Eras tickets between November 29 and December 6.

Not a Swiftie? Not a problem — there’s always something to enjoy at each of these locations, with exciting holiday events happening throughout November and December once Swift Season comes to a close.

Here are 13 places to tour as you get to know the city — and hopefully win big!

Your lyrical route

Venture to the Vancouver destinations below and find the life-sized words for your digital stamp card.

Destination Downtown

1. Gastown: Powell and Alexander Street

Kick off your hunt for Taylor Swift lyrics in Gastown, which hosts festive Thursday nights along with their regular selection of shops, restaurants, and the iconic steam clock. Once you’ve snapped a photo of ME and scanned the tag to enter the contest, head west toward the waterfront for your next word.

2. Vancouver Convention Centre Plaza

At Vancouver’s waterfront, you’ll spot another lyric — ANTI HERO — and have the chance to check out other magical lighting installations from Destination Downtown, including Davie the Grizzly Bear outside Vancouver Convention Centre Plaza.

3. Canada Place: FlyOver

Make your way down Canada Place’s west promenade and soak up the festive atmosphere of Christmas at Canada Place, including the historic Woodward’s Windows displays and rows of decorated Christmas trees. You’ll arrive at FlyOver Canada, the site of BETTY, and earn another entry into the contest. For an immersive and festive experience, consider taking a ride on FlyOver’s Soar With Santa to see the North Pole from above!

4. Vancouver Convention Centre West: Coal Harbour Seawall

Head toward Vancouver Convention Centre West and stop by the Vancouver Christmas Market for some festive cheer while celebrating Taylor’s arrival. The Swiftie Flex Pass offers unlimited market access during concert week, plus Taylor-themed activities including trivia, karaoke, and friendship bracelet-making from December 4 to 10.

Then, take the stairs down to the Coal Harbour seawall to find SWIFTCOUVER just west of the Vancouver Convention Centre. You can also enjoy 100+ lit trees on the walk to Cardero Park and free performances every Thursday through Sunday evening from 5 to 9:30 pm until December 22.

5. Bentall Centre

Once you’ve explored the seawall, head south into the downtown core toward the Bentall Centre to get some good KARMA and find your next word.

6. Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza

From there, head south along Burrard Street and take a left on West Georgia Street to visit Vancouver’s famous 76-foot-tall Christmas tree at Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza and take a ride on Destination Downtown’s Ferris Wheel until December 24 for an amazing city view. Then, SHAKE IT OFF by collecting your sixth stamp.

7. TD Plaza

Head east on West Georgia Street to reach TD Plaza at the corner of Granville and West Georgia for your next entry, DOWN BAD.

8. Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre

Walk back to Burrard Street and go south until you reach Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre’s fountain. You might just spot a LOVER.

9. English Bay

After your downtown stamp adventure, take a bus or walk west along Davie Street to English Bay to spot another Taylor lyric at Morton Park, home to the Laughing Statues. It can get chilly along the water, so remember to wear your CARDIGAN.

10. Granville Island

Those who take the Aquabus from Hornby Street will be met with a WILLOW at Granville Island behind the Kid’s Market. We recommend enjoying a drink at the Granville Island Hotel before strolling the festively lit-up streets. Merry and bright, indeed!

11. Science World

From Granville Island, head east along the seawall by hopping on a bike or walking toward Science World. You’ll discover a DELICATE lyric and can join more Taylor-themed fun at Science World on December 4 and 5.

12. Yaletown

You’re nearly there! This Vancouver hotspot at Helmcken Plaza is home to your second-to-last word, STYLE, and will also host Yaletown’s TaylorTown event on December 7.

13. BC Place

The place where the magic will happen! Head east along Smithe Street to visit the future stage of Miss Swift and snag your 13th entry — RED.

After December 11, the Taylor lyrics will be transformed into holiday words, which means that you can go on the same tour with a festive twist. Take advantage of this opportunity to soak in Vancouver’s holiday magic, enjoy performances and lighting installations, and of course, have the chance to win big.
