Taco Bell brings back two fan-favourite menu items across Canada

Since opening its first Canadian location in 1979, Taco Bell has garnered a loyal following across the country.

While many menu items have come and gone over the decades, Taco Bell will be bringing back some blasts from the past across Canada for a limited time only.

The first returning item is the Meximelt, which was originally on Taco Bell’s menu back in the 1980s. It features seasoned beef, freshly prepared pico de gallo, and a three-cheese blend of mozzarella, cheddar, and Monterey Jack, all wrapped up in a warm tortilla.

The chain will also be bringing back a sweet treat from the early 2000s: the Caramel Apple Empanada. This fan favourite features a golden, crispy crust packed with warm apple pieces and a smooth caramel filling.

Both the Meximelt and Caramel Apple Empanada are available for $3.50 or less on the Cravings Value Menu at participating Taco Bell outposts nationwide.

“There’s something special about Taco Bell that sticks with you – whether it’s a childhood favourite or a daytime craving. This is our way of celebrating that connection by offering fans a chance to relive the flavours they love, and for a new generation to discover what all the hype is about,” said Meera Patel, marketing director at Taco Bell Canada.

The Meximelt and Caramel Apple Empanada are available now for a limited time only while supplies last, so you’ll want to move fast to get your hands on the nostalgic bites.
