When Straight & Marrow opened its doors back in the summer of 2020, we were still in the thick of the pandemic.
Against all odds, the restaurant from fourth-generation chef and restaurateur, Chris Lam, launched with a menu focusing on nose-to-tail eats and elevated sips.
Four years later, the small-yet-mighty restaurant is sadly calling it quits. Straight & Marrow will offer its final service on Thursday, December 21.
The 1869 Powell Street address was previously home to Bistro Wagon Rouge. Both concepts served as intimate nooks for a cozy meal for diners feeling peckish in Vancouver’s East Village.
A rep for Straight & Marrow says chef/owner Lam is grateful for the support and his team.
“While they are saying bye for now, they are excited for what’s to come and will be sharing more soon about the next chapter.”
Folks are encouraged to make a reservation and come by the restaurant before it closes.
