SkyTrain service in Burnaby resumes after medical emergency

Editor’s note: As of 2:30 pm, TransLink says SkyTrain service has resumed between Joyce–Collingwood and Edmonds stations.

It was a difficult commute for some transit riders after Expo Line service in the Burnaby area was suspended for more than four hours.

Around 10:20 am Wednesday, TransLink said Expo Line service between Joyce–Collingwood and Edmonds stations had to be suspended due to a medical emergency. A bus bridge replaced service between Joyce and Edmonds station.

In an updated statement around 2:30, TransLink said the medical emergency has been resolved and “regular service is resuming on the Expo Line.”

Millennium Line and Canada Line service were unaffected.
