Police seek suspect after firearm robbery at Richmond ATM

A nightmare came to life for a woman who was reportedly robbed at gunpoint at a Richmond ATM.

The alleged incident occurred at an ATM in the 5300 block of No. 3 Road on December 10, 2024.

Richmond RCMP has released photos of the suspect in hopes that someone might be able to identify him.

Richmond RCMP received a call from a woman at 9:02 pm on December 10, claiming she was robbed at gunpoint at the ATM.

“According to the report, a man entered the vestibule, approached the woman from behind, pointed a gun at her, robbed her of $250, and fled,” Richmond RCMP said.

While our officers were on scene within minutes, the suspect had fled the area. Our officers were able to locate CCTV footage of the suspect, and we are releasing these photos in an attempt to identify him, said Richmond RCMP Corporal Sonny Virk in a statement.

Richmond RCMP describes the suspect as an Asian male around 5’6 “tall with small eyes, black hair with brown tips, and a dark jacket with a hood. At the time of the incident, he was wearing dark pants, a light-coloured backpack, and a mask.
