In the latest of unique vending machines popping up at a Skytrain station near you (we’re looking at you, sushi vending machines), Surrey Central SkyTrain station has just got a brand new one that is serving fresh-squeezed orange juice.
Reddit user brophy87 posted on r/SurreyBC about their discovery of the new machine in the SkyTrain station that makes fresh-squeezed orange juice right in front of you.
“Only fresh juice,” reads the machine. “Not even water added.”

Others added that it was reminiscent of other parts of the world, including one user who said, “Ohhh this takes me back to Europe and the abundant availability of fresh orange juice in France and Spain,” and another who said, “These are in Japan and they’re great! Excited to see one here!”

However, others had some concerns about a machine that uses fresh produce.
“Mmm oranges infested with insect and rat droppings,” said one person.
“Give this a few weeks and the machine will be covered in god knows what filth is out there. I cannot possibly imagine the conditions it has to operate in. Silly at best to have it out in the open for vagrants and hooligans to mess with,” added another.

It’s also important to note that many claim that since the juice is made from fresh oranges, it does not come out chilled.

The company that owns the machine is called JusFres, and this isn’t the only spot you can find this vending machine. According to its website, there are also fresh-squeezed orange juice machines at Metrotown Station, Translink’s head office building, and UBC.
Plus, its website shares that vending machines in Rupert and Edmonds stations are coming soon.
