Paul Bissonnette says he got “boot-f*cked” by seven men at a family restaurant

Paul Bissonnette is angry, but doing as well as can be expected after he was attacked by multiple people at a restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The former NHL tough guy wasn’t the aggressor in the altercation that sent him to hospital, though he did say he “gave more” than he took. Six men were arrested for assault, though Bissonnette says there were actually seven men that attacked him.

The 39-year-old from Welland, Ontario addressed the situation on social media today.

“Love you guys, thank you guys all for reaching out and checking in. I just wanted to kind of address what happened last night so you hear it from my mouth,” said Bissonnette.

The popular NHL analyst, known for his work on TNT and the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast, said he is a regular at the “family restaurant” in Scottsdale. BizNasty said he was sitting in the dining area when he heard a “ruckus” in the bar area of the restaurant and decided to get involved.

“It was a bunch of drunk golfers,” he said. “Things obviously continued to escalate, they asked one guy to leave. And then one guy kept getting in the manager’s face, put his hands on him. And that went on for probably 30-45 seconds… It’s a family restaurant, I don’t think there was anybody in there that could help him out. So I went over, I just grabbed the guy’s arm that was on him, I said: ‘Sir, if you continue to harass and assault the staff, we’re gonna have problems.’ And they just started chuckin.’ It escalated extremely quickly.”

Bissonnette thanked restaurant staff, police, and paramedics, and said he’ll offer more details on Tuesday’s edition of the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast.

“I think it was seven guys that I fought with throughout the course of the restaurant, all the way into the parking lot, over to CVS. Got taken down a couple times. Got boot-f*cked in the head three times… Luckily didn’t get knocked out. Did go to the hospital, so that’s probably what everybody’s reading about. Just bad dudes, way too drunk and I don’t know what else they had in their system. I’m very very angry.”

“Just unacceptable behaviour at a family restaurant, just cause they couldn’t grab another cocktail and didn’t want to hear no for an answer.”
