A medical event in downtown Vancouver resulted in a dramatic emergency response this morning.
According to Vancouver Fire Services (VFS), firefighters were called to a medical event at 1100 Granville Street.
A photo of the rescue was shared by a local resident on social media, showing a fire truck and other emergency vehicles surrounding the Best Western Premier Chateau Granville Hotel & Suites, located on the corner of Granville and Helmcken streets.
The fire truck’s aerial lift was in use, and part of Granville Street was blocked off to traffic.
