The holiday season is upon us, and festive fans can get into the spirit with the return of Merry & Bright to Martini Town.
Langley-based Martini Film Studios will transform its massive backlot into the holiday extravaganza from Wednesday, December 4 until Sunday, January 5.
Guests can live out their holiday movie fantasies at the unique outdoor film set while enjoying live entertainment, delicious treats, and more. And tickets are on sale now.
“We’re thrilled to welcome visitors to our Langley, BC backlot for this year’s Merry & Bright at Martini Town,” said Gemma Martini, CEO of Martini Film Studios, in a release. “This event offers a unique opportunity to experience joyful sights and sounds in a town designed, built and decorated by BC’s talented film crews.
“We’re proud of what our industry creates, and it’s a pleasure to share a bit of that magic with our community — inviting guests to step into the wonder of a Christmas movie.”
Martini Town has been the backdrop for numerous popular TV series and films, including Apple TV’s Schmigadoon!, The CW’s Kung Fu, and Hallmark Channel’s The Wedding Cottage.
Merry & Bright at Martini Town
Merry & Bright will turn the Hollywood-style backlot into a holiday wonderland full of fresh decorations, expanded sets, and new seasonal attractions. The outdoor attraction will also have a large, clear-roofed tent covering the Town Square to help keep things cozy.
Warm festive apparel is highly recommended as a film effect snow machine will blanket a set in white for your perfect photo ops. And make sure to find a good viewing spot to catch the daily performances by vocal group The Dimes, Victorian carolers, and a rotating lineup of local musicians. Santa will even visit nightly up until Sunday, December 22.
Merry & Bright at Martini Town
Visitors to Merry & Bright at Martini Town will have several tasty food options to choose from. Returning food trucks like Texas Smoke BBQ, Mini Donuts, and Urban Wood Fired Pizza are joined by the new addition Tacosaurus.
The Candy Curio in a vintage Airstream trailer will serve up sweet treats including fresh cotton candy (weather permitting), and a new sheltered area with tables and chairs is the perfect spot to sit and eat near the food trucks.
