“I go way back with you”: Sabrina Carpenter fawns over Vancouver

Sabrina Carpenter was in town last night, playing her last Canadian stop on her North American tour, and she had a LOT of thoughts about Vancouver.

The concert was in promotion and celebration of her sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet, which has been critically acclaimed and is certified platinum.

“Vancouver, it is so lovely to be with you tonight,” Carpenter said during a brief interlude, which led to an eruption of cheers from the Pacific Coliseum crowd.

“I go way back with you; I don’t think you understand,” Carpenter continued.

The Pennsylvania native, now 25, mentioned that she visited Vancouver for the first time when she was 13 and came back when she was 15. She added that she’s probably lived here for six months, with all her time in the city combined. She told the audience what better place to have her last Canadian stop than Vancouver because it’s “superior.”

Carpenter evoked another huge roar from the crowd when she mentioned visiting Squamish.

She also spoke about how surprised she was by how “beautiful and kind the people were here.”

In a separate clip, Carpenter revealed that she clearly experienced something Vancouver is famous for. The rain. She also got a little spicy when talking about how wet the city can get.

Carpenter has a few shows left in the Pacific Northwest and will travel to Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco next.
