Hundreds of Vancouver fans are already lined up for Billie Eilish

We might be days away from Taylormania, but tonight it’s all about Billie Eilish, and folks were already lined up in the early morning hours in wait for her Vancouver concert on Tuesday night.

We spoke to some of the concertgoers and learned just how long some folks have been waiting.

Eilish fans lined up around Rogers Arena, some wearing numbered paper bracelets indicating when they arrived.

We spoke to a group huddled up in layers on a cold, crisp, and foggy Vancouver morning. They showed us their bracelets, #145. They explained that they were lined up for the floor seats, which are general admission (GA). Another concertgoer explained that fans started this numbered bracelet system.

A Rogers Arena spokesperson confirmed some of those details and told Daily Hive that the GA lineup started at 8 am at gate 3.

“At 4 pm, we will have staff that will pre-process fans and give you your wristband,” they added.

“Please note that we don’t number the wristbands.”

Daily Hive observed approximately 200 people when we attended the scene just after 9 am, and it is likely to grow larger as the day progresses. The concert doesn’t start until 7 pm.

Another excited fan, Hannah Giora, told Daily Hive exactly how long they’ve already been waiting. Her group was #151-154.

“We’ve been waiting since 5 am, so about five hours so far.”

We asked what they were doing about food.

“We brought some snacks, but we’ve taken turns going out to get breakfast since there are three of us in a group.”

It was a chilly 3˚C when Daily Hive was at the scene at Rogers Arena, and we wondered how Giora and her group were coping with the conditions.

“It’s freezing. Some fans were handing out handwarmers, and we’ve been drinking hot tea, but it’s still so cold. We have so many layers on.”

If Giora is any indication, the folks who are waiting in the cold are real fans of Eilish.

“I have been a fan since she came out with ‘Ocean Eyes.’ I’ve loved her all throughout my childhood and always looked up to her,” Giora added.

People lined up at the box office hoping for last-minute tickets to be released, and security was at Rogers keeping people safe. Some are also reselling their Eilish tickets on StubHub for at least $400 or more.
