How these lucky Rogers customers won tickets to Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour in Vancouver

Taylor Swift mania has officially taken over the nation! And with her highly anticipated Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour hitting Vancouver this weekend, fans all over Western Canada are getting excited.

As we know, tickets to the final leg of the star’s tour in Vancouver were highly sought after, and not all diehard fans were able to snag them. Luckily, Rogers, the presenting partner of Taylor Swift |The Eras Tour in Canada, was committed to connecting Swifties with the show of a lifetime.

Leading up to the concerts, Rogers gave away tickets to Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour through a national contest and social media giveaways, as well as radio and TV station promos for the Toronto and Vancouver shows.

We caught up with a few winners headed to the Vancouver shows to hear about their wildest dreams coming true, courtesy of Rogers.

After a few challenging months due to the Jasper fires, James Beckmann and his family are getting a much-needed moment of joy, thanks to Rogers. The Beckmanns — a family full of Swifties — are long-time Jasper residents and will be flying to Vancouver for the show on night three.

This special trip will not only mark their first plane ride as a family but also offer a chance to recharge, celebrate resilience, and make cherished memories together.

James, who was introduced to Taylor Swift by his kids, says he was “overjoyed” when he heard the news — and the kids are currently hard at work making him a “Swiftie Dad” shirt just for the show!

Alicia Brett, Cobble Hill, BC

Alicia Brett’s name was the final one drawn in the Rogers national contest, securing her spot at the last concert on night three. She’ll be taking her daughter with her, who’s celebrating her birthday on December 5. Talk about perfect timing!

When Alicia found out she won, she couldn’t believe it was real. “I grew up listening to Taylor Swift and have continued through my adulthood. When my daughter was in Grade 1, she started getting into her music, and now that she’s in Grade 2 her and her friends are absolutely crazy about her.”

As for the pair’s concert outfits, Alicia says, “All I know is sparkles, LOTS of sparkles.” Fun!

Shealie Lock, Vancouver, BC

Shealie Lock and friends (Rogers)

Shealie Lock has been a fan of Taylor since her first album and cannot wait to see Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour upon winning tickets, Shealie decided to bring her friend, Mona, which she says was a hard decision because so many of her friends are big Swifties!

“I would say [winning] still feels completely unreal, and I probably won’t believe it until I’m actually there,” Shealie shares. “We tried really hard to get tickets, and with the concert just days away, I thought it would never happen. Thinking I wouldn’t get to go and to find out now has made it extra special.”

Shealie is most excited to hear Love Story live, since it’s a classic, as well as the Folklore and Evermore portion of the concert.

Mary Lou Rust, Surrey, BC

Mary Lou Rust is a Zumba instructor in White Rock, BC, who’s known locally for her contagious enthusiasm and vibrant routines. She’s a new Taylor fan and even shares some similarities with the singer.

“We were both born in Pennsylvania, she in the East, in West Redding, and I in Latrobe, near Pittsburgh, the western part of our state,” she says. “I am thrilled to experience her final show of her Eras Tour here in Vancouver and so proud of the girl from PA who believed in herself and followed her dream.”

Mary Lou always finds a way to bring Taylor’s empowering lyrics into her Zumba classes, creating a space where her students can dance, feel fabulous, and have fun. And let’s just say she’s ready to Shake It Off in style at The Eras Tour!
