Élysées: Vancouver’s new bakery and cafe with fresh baked treats

There are few things better than a cup of warm coffee and a sweet treat, and now Vancouver has a new spot to grab both of those things.

Élysées is a new bakery and cafe that has recently softly opened in Vancouver.

On the menu, you can find plenty of cafe favourites like drip coffee, lattes, and more.

When it comes to food, Élysées is serving up sweet and savoury pastries alongside loaves of bread and lunch sandwiches. Think caramelized onion and gruyere danishes, pain au chocolate, and sandwiches like its PLT (which includes slow-roasted pork, lettuce, sun-dried tomatoes, and caper mayo on a torta bun).

“My passion for baking began from childhood, inspired by watching my grandmothers and my mom in the kitchen. I was captivated by their creations and always wanted to recreate what they made. I started baking when I was 12, and from that moment, I knew this was the career path for me,” shared the owner of Élysées on its Instagram.

“I love baking because pastries have a unique ability to make people smile. There’s something truly special about giving someone a baked good and seeing their happiness. In the kitchen, I thrive on experimenting with new flavour combinations and staying creative, which is why we chose not to offer a set menu. We focus on creating artisan-made baked goods using the highest quality ingredients, all crafted by hand with love.”

Located at 6161 Cambie Street, Élysées softly opened its doors on November 12.
