Dozens of companies hiring hundreds of roles at Vancouver job fair this week

Dozens of companies are coming together for a massive job fair this week in Vancouver, and there’s still time for job seekers to take part.

Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) Society is hosting its annual Mega Job Fair on Thursday, February 6, at the Roundhouse Community Centre.

Hundreds of positions are up for grabs at the Yaletown venue as exhibitors from various industries look to fill vacant positions.

“The purpose of the job fair is to reduce the stress and pressures both employers and job seekers face when job searching, recruiting, and networking,” said PICS, which has been hosting the Mega Job Fair for over 15 years.

“Thousands of attendees and numerous exhibitors participate each year, making this day a productive and fun-filled experience for everyone who attends.”

Some of the 70+ exhibitors who will be attending the fair include BC Corrections, the City of Vancouver, RBC, ICBC, Paladin Security, Stongs, RCMP, and Spectrum Society for Community Living.

Attendees will meet hiring managers face-to-face, can apply for open positions right on the spot, and learn about and register for career services and support.

Job seekers are encouraged to register online, though walk-ins are also welcome on the day. Last year’s Mega Job Fair drew a historic attendance of 7,000 job seekers.
