Canyon Lights returns to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park for a magical winter experience

The holiday season is upon us, and Capilano Suspension Bridge Park has transformed into an enchanting winter wonderland once more!

Canyon Lights runs from Friday, November 22, to Sunday, January 19, and it’s a must-visit for families, friends, and anyone looking to soak in the magic of the season.

From shimmering lights to whimsical adventures, this year’s event promises all of the festive favourites, plus a whole host of new and exciting features.

Here’s a closer look at what to expect.

Explore the magical forest

Step into something straight out of a fairy tale as you cross the world-famous Capilano Suspension Bridge, lit end-to-end with a gorgeous multi-colour display, and sway high above the illuminated Capilano River.

Next, journey deeper into a glittering rainforest full of towering Douglas-fir trees and walk high above the forest floor on a transformed Treetops Adventure. Finish your journey by strolling along the twinkling cliffside pathway of Cliffwalk and taking in the festive vibes all ’round.

As you explore, you can sip a hot chocolate to keep warm, groove to the sound of live holiday tunes, and capture some Instagram-worthy photos to remember your visit.

New features to light up your holiday

New this season is the Capilano Christmas Tree Lot Photo Spot — the place to capture your best holiday snaps, complete with a rustic barn-door backdrop, a vintage red truck, and a friendly lumberjack bear ready to spark big smiles.

And, for the little ones, Dr. Woods, Ranger Racoon, Scout Squirrel, Ollie Otter, and Echo Eagle will host Winter Rainforest Explorers at the Treehouse at Treetops Adventure. Kids (or grown-ups!) can stop by to pick up a card and set off on a self-guided adventure through the park to collect character stickers and create a personal greeting card.

Festive treats and cozy eats

With so much excitement, you’ll need some fuel! Luckily, there’s no shortage of delicious food and drink at The Cliff House Restaurant & Bar.

Enjoy seasonal sips like a cozy Mulled Wine or a refreshing Frostbite cocktail. Or, savour a rich Braised Short Rib and finish your meal with a decadent Dark Chocolate Raspberry Yule Log — a dessert that tastes like pure holiday magic.

Canyon Lights is included in the price of general admission (psst… a ticket makes a fantastic holiday gift!) or with an Annual Pass. Plus, when you buy a regular one-day admission ticket, you can get a free BC Residents Annual Pass on your way out.

Don’t want to drive? Luckily for guests, there’s a free shuttle service from Canada Place for that!
