Canucks Swiftie DeBrusk made it to Taylor’s Vancouver show after all

Not even members of the Vancouver Canucks could resist the Taylor Swift craze that has swept over the city.

The Eras Tour has arrived in Vancouver on Friday for three nights of shows and it looks like Jake DeBrusk was able to make time for Swift’s Saturday night show at BC Place.

His girlfriend, Mia Voyatzis, snapped a photo of the Canucks forward at the show last night.

“Biggest Swiftie I know,” Voyatzis captioned the photo on Instagram.

It could not have been easy for DeBrusk to snag tickets for him and his girlfriend. The 28-year-old is a certified Swiftie, but he said last week that the high ticket prices may keep him from going.

“I wish I could go to this one, but the tickets are just so insane,” Debrusk said in an interview with CanucksArmy.

It seems like, in the end, he decided that seeing Swift perform in Vancouver was worth the price of admission.

Rumours have also swirled on social media that DeBrusk was not the only Canucks player at the concert. Nils Höglander and Quinn Hughes were said to be spotted by fans, but no photos of the players have surfaced yet.

Höglander is another certified Swiftie, having recently revealed that his favourite Taylor song is “Love Story”.

DeBrusk certainly deserves a night out, as he has been red-hot with the Canucks of late. After starting the season slow, the former Boston Bruins forward has nine goals in his last seven games.

While it was sure to be a great night for DeBrusk, he couldn’t get too rowdy as the Canucks are set to play a matinee game this afternoon against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
