The Vancouver Canucks are being swept up in Taylor Swift mania as the mega pop star visits town.
While there are surely many Swifties on the team, one player stands above them all as the biggest fan. Team reporter Olivia McDonald quizzed some of the players to get to the bottom of the mystery.
After some careful research from McDonald, it seems like winger Nils Höglander is the leader when it comes to Taylor Swift fandom among the Canucks.
A few teammates, including Elias Pettersson, Aatu Räty, and Erik Brannstrom, picked Höglander, and the 23-year-old even picked himself when asked the question.
While he was shy at first, Höglander eventually opened up and later picked the hit “Love Story” as his favourite song from her discography. He stopped just short of giving a quick musical performance.
No shortage of Swifties here. ✨

Other players mentioned included Tyler Myers, Brock Boeser, and Jake DeBrusk, the latter two of whom received multiple votes.
Swift has three shows in Vancouver from December 6 to 8 at BC Place. The Canucks play on two of those days just across the street at Rogers Arena. That means there’s only one night open for Canucks players to attend the legendary show if they so wish.
The city has been getting ready for her arrival in multiple ways. The famous Gastown steam clock will be playing the hit song “Shake It Off!” every 15 minutes, and there are Taylor-themed activations at multiple local landmarks.
