Canucks reveal 10 more theme nights coming this season

The Vancouver Canucks are hosting a huge number of special theme nights over the rest of this season.

The team published its fan engagement night schedule for the second half of this year’s hockey calendar today, and it’s filled with exciting events.

Some of the nights are new, such as the celebration of the Invictus Games on February 8, while others have been around for many years now.

The first one of these new events will take place on January 21 as the team celebrates the Lunar New Year, and the last one is Fan Appreciation Night on April 16. The full schedule of the second-half theme nights revealed today is as follows.

  • Lunar New Year (January 21 vs. Buffalo Sabres)
  • Black Excellence Game (February 2 vs. Detroit Red Wings)
  • Invictus Games Night (February 8 vs. Toronto Maple Leafs)
  • First Nations Night (March 5 vs. Anaheim Ducks)
  • Women’s Empowerment Night (March 7 vs. Minnesota Wild)
  • St. Patrick’s Game (March 16 vs. Utah Hockey Club)
  • Canucks For Kids Fund Telethon (March 20 vs. Winnipeg Jets)
  • Autism Acceptance Night (April 2 vs. Seattle Kraken)
  • Community Heroes Night (April 6 vs. Vegas Golden Knights)
  • Fan Appreciation Night (April 16 vs. Vegas Golden Knights)

The Canucks have already held several special celebrations and events so far this season. They honoured Alex Edler during a game against the Philadelphia Flyers, hosted Diwali Night, and recognized Hockey Fights Cancer, among many more.

There are also some previously announced theme nights that have yet to take place. The Canucks are hosting Pride Night on December 12 when the Florida Panthers visit town and have Holiday Night on December 23 when the San Jose Sharks are visiting.

The team often creates new special logos for the different theme nights, which appear on merchandise available at Vanbase.ca.
