Canucks pals Garland and Joshua chirp each other working at Tim Hortons

Vancouver Canucks forwards Dakota Joshua and Conor Garland had a bit of fun working a second job at Tim Hortons recently.

The duo wasn’t at the Canadian staple to sample any of the new donuts, though. Instead, they were working the drive-through, taking orders and passing out food to lucky visitors.

There were lots of zingers flying back and forth between the players as they chirped each other’s skills.

“Sorry, sorry for the wait. We’ve got an amateur up here,” said Joshua to a customer while pointing at Garland.

When Garland made a mistake, Joshua was quick to jump on it.

“Take it out of his paycheque,” teased the power forward.

Garland and Joshua complement each other perfectly on the ice but it seems like they could still use some work on their drive-through game. There were a couple of funny mishaps but the duo seemed to eventually get it down.

“I think we’re getting backed up. I gave away free [food], I don’t know, I didn’t scan the card,” said Joshua at one point.

“I’m just giving stuff away at the window.”

The two Canucks were spotted filming this promo video at the 13020 Delf Place location in Richmond a few weeks ago. We spoke to a few fans who were shocked to see the athletes pour their coffee.

“Conor and Dakota were extremely nice and actually greeted us at the door, which was such a great surprise,” explained Canucks fan Zumana to Daily Hive.

The two wingers are known for their chemistry but have a connection that extends far beyond just on the ice. They’re good friends and have revealed parts of that friendship publicly over the last year.

“I sit with him on the plane after some games,” said Garland about Joshua last season. “We’re pretty close friends… when my wife lets me go out to dinner, I go out with him.”
