The Vancouver Canucks offered up a bit of an update today on injured forward Brock Boeser.
As passed along from head coach Rick Tocchet, per Sportsnet’s 650’s Brendan Batchelor, Boeser is day-to-day, though the exact nature of the injury was not confirmed.

Boeser was hurt last week in a hit from Tanner Jeannot, which resulted in a three-game suspension for the Tampa forward.
“The head is the main point of contact. While there is some contact with Boeser’s body, Jeannot’s shoulder makes direct and forceful contact with Boeser’s head, and it is the head that absorbs the majority of the force of this check,” the NHL Department of Player Safety said in its suspension explanation video.
Vancouver is set to play four games in six days starting tomorrow when they play host to the Calgary Flames at Rogers Arena.
The update was a bit of a change of tune from the Canucks coach earlier in the week.
“I talked to [Brock] a little bit briefly,” Tocchet said on Saturday. “He doesn’t feel great, but I wouldn’t say it’s horrible. I think it’s indefinite right now. These things can change in a week, or [even] 24 hours, I don’t know. We’ll monitor him.”
The 27-year-old was having a strong start to the season with six goals and 11 points through 12 games.
