The Vancouver Canucks have announced that Brock Boeser will not be in the lineup tonight versus the Edmonton Oilers.
Boeser suffered an upper-body injury two nights ago against the LA Kings after taking a high hit from Tanner Jeannot. The Kings forward has since received a three-game suspension for the check.

Speaking with reporters today, general manager Patrik Allvin said that Boeser is still being evaluated, meaning an exact timeline has yet to be determined. The 27-year-old was having a strong start to the season with six goals and 11 points through 12 games.
Shortly after Allvin’s comments, head coach Rick Tocchet provided a further update of his own.
“I talked to [Brock] a little bit briefly,” Tocchet said. “He doesn’t feel great, but I wouldn’t say it’s horrible. I think it’s indefinite right now. These things can change in a week, or [even] 24 hours, I don’t know. We’ll monitor him.”
Allvin also mentioned that prospect Jonathan Lekkerimäki tweaked something recently and won’t play for the Abbotsford Canucks tonight as a result.
This may explain why Lekkerimäki wasn’t called up earlier today, as many figured he would get an opportunity following yesterday’s trade that saw Daniel Sprong head to the Seattle Kraken in exchange for future considerations.
Instead, the Canucks announced that they have recalled Nils Aman, who was recently placed on waivers, as well as Arshdeep Bains. Aman has suited up for four games with the Canucks this season, registering two assists. Bains, meanwhile has appeared in seven games, chipping in with a goal.
