Police say a 26-year-old woman was arrested and charged after being found with a gun while allegedly peering into Burnaby homes.
The Burnaby RCMP says a March 20 report of a suspicious person led to the arrest, and ultimately charges laid against Raven Lee Graham for possession of a loaded restricted firearm and possession of firearm contrary to order.
“A member of Burnaby RCMP’s Community Response Team (CRT) was doing proactive patrols near Royal Oak Avenue and Rumble Street when he was approached by a member of the public who reported a suspicious person allegedly peering into a nearby home,” said Cpl. Michael Kalanj in a release Wednesday.
Police say officers investigated the tip and found a woman matching the description near the back of a home. They say personal belongings, including a backpack, were found nearby.
“A loaded handgun was found inside the bag. The woman was arrested on scene.”
The B.C. Prosecution Service approved charges for Graham on June 12.
