A wildfire between Merritt and Kamloops reached eight hectares Saturday morning, according to the BC Wildfire Service.
The blaze was first discovered Friday afternoon near Lauder Creek.
The wildfire service says the blaze is out of control and is suspected to be human-caused.
As of Saturday morning, there were 122 active wildfires burning across B.C., 10 of which started in the last 24 hours.
An evacuation order in the Parker Lake area near Fort Nelson has been active since Friday. As of Saturday, the fire was close to 1,700 hectares and considered to be out of control.
Residents near the Nogah Creek and Patry Creek wildfires remain on evacuation alert.
