Kristina Ward has been missing for seven years and her family is still looking for her.
Ward was reported missing on Sept. 25, 2017, and last seen on video surveillance at the intersection of 144 St. and 104 Ave. in Surrey on Sept. 27, 2017, walking with a man who has yet to be identified.
In a release Wednesday, the Langley RCMP says seven years ago this week marks the last time the now 27-year-old used her cell phone, and her bank accounts were accessed.
Ward is described as 5’5, and 130 pounds, with curly brown hair and brown eyes. According to the RCMP, investigators have received several tips relating to her, but none of them have proven right.
Her family, however, has not given up.
“We have not given up searching as we remain hopeful that someone somewhere knows something to bring Kristina back home to us. We need your help by spreading awareness and sharing information about Kristina’s disappearance,” said Kristina’s father, Art Ward, in the release.
Six years ago her mother said it was out of character for her daughter to disappear and her family said that while Ward is an adult, mentally she profiles as being between 12 and 16-years-old.
On Friday at 9:15 a.m. Ward’s family and the RCMP plan to walk on 104th Ave. from 140 to 144 St. where she was last seen. Police say this walk is open to anyone in the public who wishes to join and show support for Ward’s family.
