Police are asking the public for help finding a senior with dementia who went missing from Vancouver’s Renfrew-Collingwood neighbourhood Saturday night.
75-year-old Que Huong Thanh Phu Nguyen left her home near Vanness Avenue and Boundary Road around 9 p.m. The VPD was told she got on a Skytrain at Waterfront Station just after 10 a.m. Sunday and got off at Metrotown at 10:42 a.m.
Nguyen’s family says this is out of character for her and they are concerned for her well-being.
She is described as 4’11” tall with a slim build and short grey hair. She was wearing a grey toque, a black jacket with an image of a rose on the back, light-coloured pants, and grey sandals. As well, she was carrying a large black and white tote bag.
Police say she may be confused or disoriented and that she is unlikely to ask for help.
Anyone who may see her is asked to call 911 and stay with her until first responders arrive.
