Two eastbound lanes on Highway 1 are closed after a vehicle caught fire on the Port Mann Bridge between Coquitlam and Surrey.
Callers to 1130 NewsRadio began reporting that a truck had caught fire just before 3 p.m.
Emergency crews have the right thru lane and the left exit lane blocked as the vehicle is on the painted median before the offramp.
Traffic is backed up through Burnaby and delays have reached as far as Vancouver.
Drivers can cross the Fraser River by getting down to the Pattullo bridge. You can put yourself back onto Highway 1 eastbound via 104th Avenue.
