Vancouver police looking for assault suspect who used bear spray

Police in Vancouver are looking for a man who they say bear-sprayed two people outside a Vancouver restaurant in February.

The Vancouver Police Department says it is releasing images of the suspect hoping the public may be able to identify him.

Police say the incident happened on Feb. 8 just before 5 p.m. at the restaurant near Powell Street and Gore Avenue. They allege the suspect “deployed pepper spray in their faces” before he crossed the street and left the area.

Police say the suspect is in his 30s, and at the time of the incident was wearing a black sweat suit with “distinctive red writing down the left arm and leg.”
