Vancouver Police investigate shooting in the downtown core

Police say one person is seriously injured after a shooting in downtown Vancouver on Wednesday.

Vancouver Police (VPD) responded to reports of shots fired around 7:50 p.m. near Homer Street and West Pender Street.

According to police, a person was found at the scene with serious injuries.

Police say, the victim was taken to hospital and is receiving treatment.



Investigators will stay on the scene for several hours, and traffic will be disrupted, police say.

VPD says no arrests have been made.
