Vancouver Fire Rescue crews have extinguished a fire in a garage in the area of Napier Street near Cassiar Street, the service announced on X.
Chief of Operations Brad Hesse tells CityNews they received the call just before 6:30 p.m.
“When the first crews arrived, there was smoke coming out of the garage,” Chief of Operations Brad Hesse told CityNews.
“They could tell there was a lot of heat because the vinyl siding was starting to melt on the outside the exterior of the garage.”
Crews wrapped up the scene within an hour.
Hesse says investigators will look for the cause and origin of the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
