Golfers at two Vancouver pitch and putt courses can now enjoy drinks on the links.
The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation has announced that alcohol is now available for purchase directly at both the Queen Elizabeth and Stanley Park par-three courses.
“We are excited to elevate the experience for guests at our courses through this initiative,” said Brennan Bastyovanszky, parks board chair.
“These iconic parks are perfect settings for this venture, providing yet another reason for residents and tourists to enjoy these beautiful spaces.”
The drinks available include a variety of alcoholic beverages, like locally produced wine and non-alcoholic cocktails and beer from Stanley Park Brewing and Steamworks Brewing.
Steve Jackson, general manager of the board, says the introduction of alcohol services is a “direct response to customer feedback.”
Alcohol sales will reportedly be available daily from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., with service concluding 30 minutes before course closure.
The board asks those who choose to drink to respect other golfers and noise limits, properly dispose of waste in bins, and not bring alcohol off the course or in from elsewhere.
